This page provides the full reference list and supporting literature that informed the development of this PhD research project. The study explores the potential role of structured, mechanism-informed sound interventions in supporting emotional regulation and wellbeing among autistic young people during the transition to adulthood.
The research draws upon current evidence relating to emotional regulation in autism, the challenges associated with emerging adulthood, and the growing body of literature investigating music- and sound-based interventions. The references below represent the theoretical and empirical foundations that have shaped the project's development to date.
As this research is ongoing, the bibliography will be updated as the study progresses and new evidence emerges.
If you would like further information about the project, collaboration opportunities, or future findings, please feel free to get in touch.
